Revenue represents a company’s income from its normal business activities. The ratio of a company’s revenue to the sector’s total revenue is the company’s market share.

It is certainly very interesting to compare revenue growth and stock price. Earnings, cash flow, shareholder’s equity, dividend et cetera can only grow if enough revenue is realized. Increasing sales (revenue) is one of the first requirements for a growing and thriving business.
